Calculation of the drainage system

1. The calculation of the number of gutters.
We produce gutters 1 and 2 meters long. The number of gutters must be selected so that during installation the residues are minimal. For example: Cornice length 10.5 meters; we take five gutters of 2 meters and one gutter - 1 meter. The remainder after installation is 0.5m.
2. Calculation of the number of gutter connectors.
Gutter connectors are used to create a single gutter system. You can calculate the number of connectors by the formula: Number of connectors = Number of gutters — Number of drain funnels — Number of gutter corners — 1
3. Calculation of the number of brackets for attaching the gutters.
We recommend placing the brackets at a distance of 50cm from each other. You can calculate the number of brackets using the formula: Number of brackets = (Cornice length - 0.3) / 0.5 + 1, round to an integer and adjust the distance. There are 4 brackets per one 2 m gutter.
4. The calculation of the number of plugs.
Plugs are installed on the end of the gutter. The number of plugs is considered upon. If the drainage system is closed by corners, then no plugs are required. In the case of installing a drain funnel at the end of the gutter, a drain funnel plug is installed on the funnel.
5. The calculation of the number of internal and external angles.
The gutter angles are calculated depending on the number of turns of the gutter system.
6. The calculation of the number of drain funnels.
The number of drain funnels is equal to the number of downpipes, and is calculated depending on the area of the roof slope served. One funnel can remove rainfall from a roof of up to 150 sq.m.
7. The calculation of the number of drainpipes.
We produce downpipes 1 and 2 meters long.
Data for calculating the number of pipes:
1. The height from the ground to the eaves.
2. How will the water be drained (to the foundation or to the drainage system).
3. The width of the eaves overhang.
Attention: The outlet must be located at a height that provides a smooth and free flow of water from the system, which does not form large sprays on the foundation. The recommended distance is 20-30cm. In the case of a drainage system, a branch is installed directly into it. The number of pipes is calculated by the formula: Number of pipes = (Distances from the foundation to the eaves - 0.2 - The distance between the centers of the knees + the length of the insert (pipe) between the elbows) / The length of the drain pipe (1 or 2 meters).
8. The calculation of the number of pipe elbows.
Number of elbows = Number of gutters * 2
9. The calculation of the number of clamps.
For each individual pipe of the gutter riser, 2 clamps are required.
.

Table 1. The dependence of the length of the insert on the width of the eaves overhang.
The width of the eaves overhang (m) 0.5 0.6 0.8 1.0 1.2 1.4
Approximate insert size (m) at 60 degrees bend 0.6 0.8 1.0 1.3 1.5 1.7
The distance between the centers of the knees with a knee 60 degrees (m) 0.3 0.4 0.5 0.6 0.7 0.8
